Alternative Dispute Resolution

Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) has evolved as an important method of resolving disputes by means other than litigation, because it enables self-determination by the parties involved.  Through artful drafting of dispute terms, parties can elect resolution methods to achieve a more expeditious, cost-effective, efficient and confidential result.  Additionally, ADR may permit extrajurisdictional remedies that parties may contract for, that might not be available from a court in a traditional litigation.

ADR forms includes mediation, arbitration, mini-trial, and private judging, which utilize a neutral third-party
to make a decision or assist the parties in reaching a resolution.

Jasper & Jasper represents clients as advocates in all forms of ADR.  We have represented clients in numerous ADR forums including court-annexed mediation and arbitration, the American Arbitration Association, the International Center for Dispute Resolution and the Financial Regulatory Association.  We have represented parties in a variety of
disputes including:

  • Commercial contract;
  • Shareholder disputes;
  • Insurance disputes;
  • Construction;
  • Employment;
  • Collective bargaining and organized labor.

In addition to direct client advocacy, our attorneys are available to serve as neutrals in resolving disputes through mediation or arbitration.
